Hero's chains TTRPG system
A downloadable ttrpg
In this world, heroes gain power from the trust and faith of the people they protect just as villains gain power from the fear they instill in the public. The most powerful heroes on the national level are signed with various agencies who manage their PR and marketing to maintain their power and relevance.
For those outside the agencies, it is a hard grind to grow your trust, fighting day after day to maintain your image. A million people with different images of you are nothing compared to a few thousand who unite under the same banner.
Hero's chains is heavily inspired by the world and characters of the tv show 'To be Hero X', and currently in open access to receive public feedback, please feel free to drop a comment about your play experience. This is a D10 system, and you will need a few 10-sided dice available to play

This is a very cool system! I love all of the categories of the sub-abilities (Hide, Fight, etc). I think my main qualm is that you only get 6 ability points when you have 9 abilities, which will result in at least 3 abilities with 0 points. I know that's probably intentional, but I as a player don't like when there are things my character can't do, period. Maybe I'm just picky, lol.
In the example for Making A Check, I don't understand how the player gets 5 dice. I think it's because the 2 in Agility & 1 in Hide make 3 Physical points, and it's an Agility check, so 3+2=5, but I'm not 100% sure if I got that right. Please let me know!
How much Trust should a hero start with? A lot of things rely on how much Trust you have, but it's not said the average amount of trust that a player should start with in, say, a one-shot. How much Trust is too overpowered? How much is too little?
Also, it's mentioned in one section that a 9 is a Dazzling success, and another that a 10 is. Which is it?
Love the ideas here, the descriptions are great; there are just some things I'm not clear on.
